Serving Pro Contractors Since 1988
Glenbrook Building Supply, Inc’s best asset is our knowledgeable staff. Before any construction starts, an experienced Glenbrook Lumber employee will scour your plan to ensure you have a complete list of building materials for your project. Pricing is based to you on the concept of a long term business relationship between us. Our current customers tell us we provide the most detailed and informative pre-construction estimates in the business.
Our goal at Glenbrook is to provide the customer with value-added recommendations for their project. We can do this in three key areas.
Increase Structural Integrity. An engineered wood expert reviews print for properly sized beams. They review floor system designs & account for special loads that may not be shown on plans. Examples: Kitchen islands w/granite tops, extra-large appliances, over-sized whirlpool tubs.
Discover opportunities for value-added features. An example is our review of truss designs to add useable area inexpensively, such as attic trusses or spread web storage. We also search for better closet designs, nooks or built-ins.
Seek out cost reduction ideas! Our experience allows us to offer ideas that will save money on the bottom line while not sacrificing the architectural appearance of your project. Slight roof pitch changes, support mulls for windows, adjusting bearing wall locations, are all just a few of the ways we have saved our current customers thousands of dollars.
Computer generated Job Evaluations are unique to Glenbrook and are a valuable resource to help manage a project’s costs and can be done anytime during the project for a variety of worthwhile reasons. With the click of one key all the information of your current project including items, quantities, prices, and of course any discrepancies will be easily identified. Our current customers really appreciate this tool as it quickly reminds them of customer product changes, misuse or incorrect use of material on site, and even helps them coordinate overall sub-contractor scheduling on the job site.
